The extension icon is grey / inactive

You’re not signed in, or your account isn’t in an active tenant. Click the icon, sign in, and confirm with your admin that your account is a member.

A prompt wasn’t flagged

Detection is tuned per organization. Ask your admin what categories are enabled, and confirm the extension is signed in and up to date.

I can’t access the web portal

The portal is admin-only. If you signed in via SSO, you join as a User — ask an admin to promote your account.

How do I reset my password?

Use the Forgot password link on the sign-in page. Password changes are self-serve via the emailed reset link.

Does Sanitized AI read my prompts?

The guard inspects prompts to protect them, and logs detection metadata, not prompt content. See How detection works.

Why can’t I send this prompt?

If the banner says Blocked by Policy and there’s no Send Anyway button, that guardrail protects data your organization has decided must never reach an AI tool.

Use Sanitize Prompt to replace the sensitive parts, or Edit Prompt to reword it. If you genuinely need to send it as-is, click Copy Details for Admin and send that summary to your admin — they can grant an exception. See Using the extension.

Why does it say my override is recorded?

When you click Send Anyway, your organization records that a warning was overridden — who, when, and which guardrail. The prompt’s content is not stored.

Admins use this to spot guardrails that fire too often on things that aren’t actually sensitive. If you’re overriding the same warning every day, tell your admin: that’s a guardrail worth fixing.
